Red Eye Review: Rockstar Xdurance

Rockstar Xdurance A Slice of SomethingNow this is an interesting one, can it live up to its performance enhancing promises?

The packaging design looks to me somewhere between an energy drink and a sport drink, but make no mistake this is full blow high caffeine drink. This is very high in sugar and calories so probably not one to include regularly in a balanced diet.

The taste is a little strange at first but it really grew to the point that I was disappointed when it was gone. Blueberry, Pomegranate and Acai make for an interesting mix but these are woefully under used flavours in drinks. The flavour strikes me as if I have mixed several different fruit drinks together and added lemonade, different but satisfying.

Because this isn’t the sweetest energy drink it did leave me slightly more refreshed than some others and given how much energy it provides that’s quite an impressive feat.

Summarise!

For me, this is a Wednesday morning drink. If you work 9 to 5, Wednesday morning is not a great time and this drink will provide the jolt back to life that you need to power through to the end of the hump day.

4/5 Slices
